Available in Soft Talyn and Rigid Talyn, this material offers firmness and resilience close to bonded leather, but with superior strength, tear resistance, and moisture protection.

One of its biggest advantages — it can be skived together with leather on a No.801 skiving machine, and even edge-painted directly without shrinking or distortion — a real time-saver for makers.

Common thicknesses: 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm.
Perfect for bag structure, reinforcement, and shape retention, especially for medium to large leather goods.

⚙️ Tip: For chrome-tanned leather projects, keeping a few sheets of 0.3mm to 0.7mm on hand is often enough.
Talyn doesn’t replace bonded leather — each has its own purpose in the workshop.
